Wow, raining in Arkysaw and I'm working the week in Lubbock. I believe I saw a couple clouds here this morning

Worst drought since 2011. We have had 9" of rain and a normal year would have produced 21" by now.
My trees are loosing their leaves about 4 months early. Hard to tell the shock damage. It won't be apparent for a couple of years. At least I don't have to mow. Nothing is growing and I just create dust clouds.

Our yard is dying and no amount of watering within the confines of drought restrictions is helping it. We need another month like May of '14 when it rained us out of a 10 year drought in one month. We just need it spread out over a few months to minimize flooding.

Wish we could share. Had the 6th wettest May on record, and the highest July rainfall on record. We've already reached the average we have for the whole year by August 1st.

For all you Texans
Complaining must’ve worked! Saturday morning it rained for three hours and a little in the afternoon as well, topping an inch for the day.
Sunday it rained a great deal as well but I haven’t checked the gauge yet. Oh crap! I’m gonna hafta mow the stuff now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk, meaning that I had to repair at least six “autocorrects” by editing multiple times. Thanks, Apple, for your helpful iGuess program.

Got some good rain Saturday night and Sunday. Even got a little bit this morning before the system moved completely out.
Summer is now back. Hot and dry for at least the next week. I guess I'll be riding.

We finally got some good rain in the metroplex. Got a little at the cabin, not nearly enough. A couple of the ponds are nearly dried up.

this is embarrassing. I used to ride all the time no matter what the weather. Now, I haven't ridden in 2 or 3 months because it is either abut 95* or raining like hell. I will be 70 the week after Chambersburg. I think I am past my prime. And my prime wasn't all that great.

the grass in our backyard is 2 ft tall and the wife is really mad. She has no sympathy for the fact that its been over 90 every day and the grass is always wet from the previous rain. We have lived here for 22 years and it has never been like this.

Can't decide how much of what we have this morning is fog and how much is wood smoke. Climate here has steadily been changing for the last twenty years or so but has been most noticeable the last ten. We were up in the Snowy Range last weekend and Medicine Bow Peak ice fields that were substantial forty years ago have dwindled to patches. Last two or three years, the growing season has been at least six weeks longer than it used to be.
