Pops, He did it His Way….
Well, it is inevitable in the grand scheme I guess. We begged, coerced, bribed and grovelled for him to leave the orchard and round out his days with some support and being catered to. Almost had him a few times but he’d always crawfish at the last second, his contract with his German Shepard and all. Contract we’d ask? To him it was though, Chester did guard duty and in return, he ate what he ate and slept in the house at night.
Pops had an event in the middle of the night and after day 2 of no calls answered, thank goodness the cops didn’t let our daughter in the house. 87 is a pretty good run all in all. Chester is going to a gorgeous farm in Enderby and now to dismantle 58 years of “ this could be useful” . Kinda numbing but we knew it was getting closer. RIP Pops….

Thank Y’all, it means a lot to Autumn & myself! Here is a image of how I will choose to remember Pops. We used to run the Walkers hard back in the day, running in bear paw snowshoes trying to keep up will either make you tougher or kill you then and there.

Damn, so sorry for your loss.
We have a similar situation with my wife’s 89 year old dad. It appears former Navy jet pilots can be a bit independent and headstrong.

Y’all are a solid lot! Cheers to everyone! We are having a massive celebration of life Oct 16th when we go back up North and everyone can convene at our place.
I can hear him already giving me sh*t for spending money for no good reason……. Autumn’s and my condolences to all that are in our or similar spot, we went and got our affairs updated just now…….
