Gumming
I have not ridden my bikes since October when I tore my knee up. I put a Stabil type additive in the gas tank and have started the bikes a few times.
Which will gum up faster ... carburetor or EFI?

Avgas...unless you have a catalytic converter.
That is all. To answer the question...I would think a carb would be subject to gumming faster.

Any fuel with ethanol in it is having a tendency to phase out, separate, and cause some kind of gumming or sludging junk.
I don't think there is anything on the market to keep the two parts "in phase".

I generally use seafoam as well. With the shovel, and other carb-equipped motors, it shut off the gas and let it run the bowl to empty. It isn't foolproof, but it only allows a little sludge to accumulate.
