Are their universal averages based on your brand of oil?
Not too happy w that viscosity rise, typically, and end of life thing. Get an acid number next time too, it can be a useful indicator of life left. But it is only valid as a delta from new, there is no comparing it or base number to any universal average. And you want acid, not base. Base is for diesels. Acid for gasoline.

Yeah, the viscosity rise is something I'm not terribly happy about, but it's been consistent throughout all my samples. I've got just about enough Amsoil left to do one more oil change, then I'm going to try the Mobil 1 V-Twin.

I used Mobil 1 on the last change. So far I'm happy. Didn't do any analysis though.
