Ask The Techs... This is the way it works. Post up your question in the appropriate Forum, then put a link to it here. We'll ask some very savvy folks to monitor the posts here and answer your question. If you are a Tech answering a question, please do it in the linked thread rather than here. In this way, we can build info in the appropriate Forum. Thanks. |

It happened in version 1.6 and later of Mastertune. I don't know exactly when it came out. It will lock the ECM even with a MT6 file.

That's fkuced up. I'll have to check to see which version I have, but as of last October, the dealer could read my MT7 files.

So I should avoid the ThrottlePak and TTS?

Yeah, assuming Danny's right (and I have no reason to doubt him), the Powervision's the way to go. Call Jamie at FuelMoto for it.

I'll look at that and see if I can get budget approval. What about the cams to pair with it? I'm thinking Andrews 26 but it seems there are a thousand opinions out there.

I still think the FuelMoto 107 kit is the deal of the century, though that's really stretching your budget. Or you could just pick up a used set of stock 103 pistons & jugs from Ebay.
There are a lot of people who swear by the Woods 555. I think it's a bit much for the 96, especially with stock compression. If you were to go to a thinner head gasket, that would work, but at that point it doesn't make sense not to go to at least 103". You should consider the Andrews 48H as well.

Well Billy, while you're out shopping can you pick me up a new clutch. It doesn't matter which one - I'm going to burn it up anyway
