Broke Down and got Vortex...
All my nice rifles are saddled with Leupold, a couple rimfire with Nikon Pro's and Sightron II's but only rimfire stuff.
My LGS was blowing out Vortex and muffed one of my firearm deliveries so I had a bit of leverage on pricing. Viper HD 20-60 X 80 spotting scope, dang thats pretty good imagery, I'm looking across the lake at clearings so very nicely and crisp detail. Haven't hunted with it yet or put on the neoprene armour but s.o.b. that's a sharp image for the distances involved (6+miles) and the warranty is apparently bulletproof for life..... So far - Thumbs Up! I may have to ditch my Leupy snobbery. I needed it to make use of the Foodsaver vacuum sealer in the background that she twisted my arm on to get... If I could just manufacture spare time!! P1050694.jpg Last edited by DAK47; 11-05-2018 at 07:18 PM. |

Almost all my scopes are Vortex.
They make some good stuff and the warranty can't be beat. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

The gun that shoots today and kills tomorrow.
Shot into a large group of Indians, it wouldn't require much accuracy. No one suggests he aimed at the Indian that was actually hit. I have never heard that the Indian survived. They would have taken this as a good sign, interpreted as the white man's bullets couldn't kill them, if he had merely been knocked off his horse. Given the possibility of a loading error, How can he accurately gauge how much powder was in any particular round?
