Returning from WV
When I was heading West through WY, I kept seeing groups of riders heading East with their rain suits on.
I kept doing a hard look at the wipers of the East bound trucks and cars, but seldom did I see their wipers in action. I ran through a few light showers, but nothing I couldn't avoid for the five or ten minutes they lasted by ducking down behind the windshield / faring. But I kept seeing all those heading East in their rain suits.. It was raining the "worst" when I hit Rock Springs for gas, so I kind of hung out under the pump awning at the Exxon on Elk Street North of the highway. As I was getting back on after cleaning off the dried rain on the windscreen, I noticed a sign on top of the pump saying they had alcohol free high test at a pump behind the store. So I putted around behind the store and sure enough there was a alcohol free pump out back. So I put that in my mental trip locator.

Between Des Moines, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska this morning, we drove through crap that I have rode through before. Day turns to night, road spray visibility reduced to 100 feet and lightening. Worst part was the wind affect on the 42' sail we were riding in. Saw some bikers who should have taken shelter. Speed was down to 35 mph and numerous trucks and cars parked on the ramp shoulders. Outside temp went from 90 to 70 in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later we were through and temps back to 90. I almost had to turn off the AC.

I hit some of that on I10 2 weeks ago. I got a bent bumper hitch out of the deal. The Toyota Sequoia that hit me is getting a lot of new plastic.
