Heavy Breather

Any thoughts on these? I like the looks of it, and wonder if it is worth the money. It seems that there is a need to reflash the ECM with it or there is a chance of "heavy engine damage". Sounds ominous. I am thinking of going to Jenni's on Saturday to donate blood and get a 25% of coupon for parts. This is on my list.

The '09 ECM and O2 sensors will compensate. the '07 and older ECM's will not, and would need a flash.

Got a heavy breather on my bike. I like the look and I noticed a big jump in power between the heavy breather and the race tuner after they were installed. most likely more to do with the tuner and dyno. But over all I've been pretty happy with it, except there was a definite drop in fuel economy. Used to be able to get 225-235 miles on a tank, now I'm lucky to get 180. I'm also am heavy handed on the throttle so that doesn't help either.

anybody know if you can just buy the filter head separately for the heavy breathers?...

I got a couple dents in the filter where the kids bumped into it. not much I can think of doing to fix it? I just rotated the filter so they are hidden underneath. But I would like to just replace it down the road.

Yes, you can get a new element from HD. Do your reasearch, it's made by K&N, you may be able to find it online much cheaper.
