It looks like one broken rib and a deep contusion (bruise) for now. A radiologist will do a final review of the x-rays this afternoon to determine if he sees anything different.

4 to 6 weeks of not doing much of anything except taking medicine and taking it easy. There is not much else they can do about it unless they were to find pieces that threatened a lung or something. That would require surgery, but it looks like I am in the clear.

Not a mark on the bike because I basically fell over in the parking lot. It is just getting too heavy for me. I need to sell it and I can't afford a trike. This trip was going to be a test and I think I have my answer. I'm going to have to park it until I get it sold. If anyone knows anyone that wants a bargain on an Ultra, let me know.

I hope you heal quickly and this is tough to read.

Riding as been part of your life and must be very hard to walk away.

I will do what I can to spread the word.

In the parking lot? Welcome to my world.

Had no idea you'd gone down. Glad things aren't more serious and hope you heal up fast and thoroughly.

Just Wow! I'm saddened to read that you have been hurt. I'm glad it wasn't any worse than it was. We are all counting the years/days that we have left to safely ride. Their is always the possibility that upon the sale of the Ultra you could invest in something small and much lighter. I know it's a tough call either way. I wish you my best for full recovery and more miles under your belt.

You've got my number.

1. I've been riding well over 50 years so I guess I might have my quota by now.

2. Everything is still on the table. A trike, a conversion, a smaller bike. We have even talked about a sidecar.

3. It's only one rib. I eat a lot more than that at one sitting. I'll be fine.

4. The biggest obstacle is always money. I will swing what I can afford to swing.

Sorry to hear this. Hope you heal fast and find the right ride to keep you in the wind, for years to come.

Really sorry to hear this. Also difficult to hear you might not be on two wheels next time I'm down that way. Have you considered one of these set-ups.

Get well my friend. I rode to charge up a battery on one of the four Ultras in the hangar today. Sure feels good to ride.
