On this last night of 2017:

It is 28° and falling. We might not get above freezing for two days!

I looked outside and the ground, the neighbor's roof and my pickup are all covered by white stuff.

Amidst all that, they are calling for freezing rain.

My question is thus, very simple. Do you start burning the living room or the dining room furniture first?

Getting cold or flu or something, not fun, leaving for Denver on Wednesday with incoming rain / snow in the forecast.

Was really chilled and I stoked up the wood stove until I sweated the boss out of the room, the cat enjoyed it.

We are down to 38 here and it's horrid. I've turned into a delicate semi-tropical flower.

Been out with the dog twice already this AM. She's more interested in tracking deer than going potty.......

Dining room, natch. Less upholstery makes for less smoke. Besides, what're you gonna sit on while watching your fire/enjoying the heat?

It's 23°f here this morning, watching the people from warmer climates, walking down the street to everything that is closed today, bundled up like they are going to meet up with sir Hillary to embark on an arctic expedition.
