Bat Wing Windshield Mounting Nuts
What is the preferred repair for those capture nuts when they pull from the inner fairing?

The dealer has a replacement that goes in like a heli-coil - works good!

Thanks guys. I'll call my parts guy at the dealer in the morning. We have a killer two part plastic epoxy at work if nothing else.

IIRC, the torque for those screws is, like, 7-13 in-lbs.

I know it's light. Heck, the dang bolt barely got in there when it pulled.
I'll be more diligent next time fo sho.

I just tighten them a little. I used to torque them down, but the spec is way too tight.

Even if you get new ferrules, go ahead and use the two-part epoxy on them. It does help.
