They need to put it into a big plastic bag with lots of rice then leave it in the sun until all the moisture is pulled out. It should work OK after that.

The grandson of the pilot is interviewed in the video. The plane is being sent to Pensacola and will be displayed in the National Aviation Museum after it's restored. Way cool!

There is a great display at the Museum of Naval Aviation at NAS Pensacola about these planes. They have several on display including one that has been completely restored. Most people don't realize that the Navy had a couple converted tour boats fitted with flight decks for pilot training purposes during WWII.

I loved seeing the plane they had hanging at midway airport in chicago, they had a bunch of videos you could play, very cool stuff....
