Another Skills-Riding video, new perspective!
Had a brainstorm last night. This afternoon at practice, tried it out. I think the results were excellent!
I may be the first person to ever video motorcycle skill-riding in competition cone patterns using this perspective. Looking Back The mount is by Hogtagcollar.com, owned by a local rider's brother. He set me up with a mount that clamps to my tourpac and holds the servo gimbal. It's very sturdy. And with the gimbal turned ON, the jello effect is greatly reduced. (not so much when I forget to turn on the servo.) Last edited by Ken R; 04-05-2015 at 09:28 AM. |

That reminds me of riding in the back seat of my dad's station wagon

I think I finally understand what "car sick" is all about.

I should have watched that earlier in the day. My eyes couldn't keep up. Might have had something to do with your being followed.

I checked the website for that mount and didn't see it. Is it a new product?

Pretty cool. Disorienting, but cool.
For some reason I think it would be better without the antennae installed. Their movements sort of hurt my head.

Ha! I didn't take into consideration that the antennae would be in the movie until I watched it for the first time when I played the video on my computer. For stills, I'm pretty good at framing and eliminating distractions. Apparently, I'm not so good with the same in video.
Future videos from this point will not have the antennae in it, I promise. Will tie them forward, out of the picture. Ken |

Always a pleasure to watch you/y'all ride!
Even from this funky new angle on the following bike. |

Nice! Thanks for posting!
We had our club's "Skills Day" a couple of weeks ago. And I thought that we were doing well with 20' circles...... Got more work to do! Of course there were others that didn't even try the 24' circles! But it was good seeing some that started out questioning the 28' circles doing 22'ers at the end of the session!!! Then there was the Sportster....
