New Super Tree
Just want to let all my peeps know who have an older Electra Glide or Road King or Road Glide, there's a super product now offered by Smart Dave at Pocono Mountain Harley Davidson. It's called the Super Tree. It's a replacement upper tree that Dave has made. I just installed it on my 2003 Electra Glide Classic. There are "sleeves" that now grab the top of the fork tube, preventing them from twisting.
WOW what a difference in handling it makes! It removes all the torsional twisting that the front end does when hitting grooves and irregularities in the highway. If you're interested, contact Dave at Pocono Mountain Harley. Some here are already familiar with it, I think Russ had one on his last HD. Tried to upload a pic, but the file is too big. Check out my Facebook page, there's a pic there.

Is there a place to view the product and price outside of Facebook?

However adjusted to the way mine handles, It'd be nice if it could handle a bit better. Share a link to it maybe?

Photo above. Price is $550.00. Install was about 5 hours on my Electra Glide. I'd say longer on a Road GLide and less on a Road King.

Better front end handling would be worth it.

Same idea as the CCE tree I had on the CVO, and the Rushmore tree. Nice thing is that it uses the stock upper tubes (unlike the CCE piece). I can't overstate the difference this thing makes. The front end is so much more stable that it really changes how you ride. There's just no wandering at all. You push the bars, the bike turns. No drama whatsoever.
Call Smart Dave. His design, and he does the work on them. Last time I was at his house he had a stack of a dozen or so in his garage.

Does the Super Tree cure the front's 'feels like I'm driving an old car with a busted front shock' sensation?
The b's front end feels like that on one interstate hi-speed (over 75) sweeper near here. There are bridge decks and mildly oscillating pavement in that curve. Feels like that combo is just enough to unsteady the front end.

Yes. You really want to lock it down, add a True Track as well. The BSR is going to get one this spring.

Thanks, Russ.
The 'b' already has a rear stabilizer. Guess a call to Smart Dave is in order.

I sure like the idea of this as an addition to the hack. Maybe some day. Or, maybe I'll let the next guy worry about it.
