Motorcycle Club - Riding Club Education
A worthwhile link.
Protocol Basics Note: Lots of good reading on that site if you follow the links in the left margin there... Even as an AMA Social Club, we walk a pretty fine line, and it is my very sincere desire to keep all y'all out of trouble in this regard. That's why we've always discouraged any Doofs (and 'zINTs, too, because we love you, despite the smell) from flying any "support" gear for any Club if your bike is sporting a 43 or 7 timer cover or you're stylishly adorned with a Doof or 'zINt patch or any of our other attractive and reasonably priced Doof Wares (available here: http://www.doofclenas.com/DoofWares/ ). That's also why we don't have back patches, or chapters, or a whole host of other things we've opted not to do. Please remember, it's not just you. Anything you do in this regard when you're identifiable as a Doof or 'zINt may have unforeseen ramifications for one of your buddies halfway across the country. We aren't the only ones who have harnessed the power of these here internets for lightning fast communication, and I can't imagine how awful one of you would feel if someone was "aggressively educated" because of something you did.

That's very good reading. Anyone I come across that asks about my colors or the club world gets pointed to that site after we have a lil chat.

     They call me Bud. You have no concept of the depths to which I do not give a damn...  After 2 1/2 years as a Doof Prospect, my give a damn is STILL broken and parts are still on backorder. 2007 FLHP Known Associate of Scabby Doo, Swede, Blondie, Bad Dice, BillyB, Taz, Not Donna, Dinero, Stone Cold, Half Pint.
