Time for an update on my '07. Odometer now at 127k, stock blue w/silver stripe paint job ditched in favour of a flat black scheme a few years back, Andrews chain drive cams and S&S lifters, pushrods installed in 2015, plus new wheel bearings, rear pulley, fork fluid, brake pads, cam chain tensioners, primary chain tensioner. Still on the original drive belt (checked frequently now) and still problem free even after three years of sidecar duty.

I. Love. This. Bike.

Sorry, friend, but I had a bit of a crisis and decided to sell the sidecar and bike to get a Corvette. After selling the chair I came to my senses and decided to keep the bike indefinitely. In two weeks I start my new job as a Service Tech at the local Harley dealer, so chances are good that I'll stay on two wheels now.

I loved my sidecar, too, but failed to install two necessary things to make life easier living with it. One was a reverse gear, the other was a 5 degree raked triple tree kit. The reverse gear I could probably have continued to live without, but the stock steering head was murder on the upper body when I moved to my present location; lots and lots of tight, off camber turns turned a nice ride into a chore and took a lot of the fun out of it.

By contrast, three of the last sidecar installations I did before I quit my last job involved adding the raked triple tree kit. It made an amazing difference in ride and handling on all three bikes, one of which was an Ultra Classic with a double wide Hannigan chair.

I sold it back in Feb 2011, shortly after Hector The Wonder Dog passed away.

I've seen that and am accumulating nickles towards that project.

Ok, so... the radio display quit working late in the season last year and after an unsuccessful face plate changeout a couple weeks ago I was about to pull the trigger on an Aquatic plug n play replacement when I decided to go a different route. Signed the paperwork today to trade in my 07 for this new, leftover 15...

Mine is acting up, but I'm not buying a new bike.

Likely I will send it out for repair/upgrade.

Congrats on the new radio...
