The Jet-boil is very democratic. I've been to NH, Vermont, and NY this week and the JB works well in all those states. Beans don't cook up so good cause the JB won't go down to a low simmer, however, Ramen noodles and some chicken breast makes almost a gourmet meal. So now my morning tea has an essence of Ramen if not cleaned good. This has gotta be an essential for camping, packs small and is ready for action pretty fast.

Jet Boil is an essential in my pack. It doesn't use much fuel because the cup is insulated. It packs nicely too. Like any propane stove, though, its difficult to get to a simmer; liquid fuel stoves are easier. I recently took my JB on a six day backpacking trip this summer in a real remote area of Washington state's Pacific coast, and cooked with it everyday for breakfast and dinner.
