The American Elite I'm running on the front of the 'b' rumbles less than the previous E3, especially when hot.
Tread sipes are slightly different is my guess as to why. The AE handles and rides just as well as the E3. I'll run the AE in the back once I wear out the current E3.

The E 3's were great on the '06, I got up to 12 K before I changed them out due to upcoming rides that would leave me far away and a really worn out rear tire.
If I ended the summer at 12 K I could finish it to 14 K before the change to new ones the following spring for the upcoming season.

Or maybe you just wore out the middle and left 4K worth of meat on the edges.

A very popular option from Norway. Serious kroner though, I would imagine.

Maybe its just my 'grandpa' riding style...
I tried other tires on the old RK and I LOVED the service from the ME880s. They didn't just come apart internally, as the Venoms liked to do. The 880s were Brazilian... Metzler guy told me (at the time) that their radials were made in the Fatherland and their bias tires were all made in Brazil. I don't know where the new 888s come from. I hated the 'under size' (I put 150s front and rear) as the "150" actually measured 143mm. Stickier than the 402s (well duh) no more tracking every little groove in the road and got twice the mileage. I got 13,500 on the 880s and the weirdest bit is that front and rear wore about the same. When I finally swapped them it was mostly due to cupping, they still had some tread! What are y'all doing to wear them out so soon? Y'all doin' that "twisty" stuff?

ME 880's and other ME's I ran on the Orange Crush for several years
I was always happy with the performance, the wear was at times not as good as I expected ... often got around 14K on the rear ... usually took two rear replacements to one front ..... currently on the new bike (2014 Ultra Limited) running the Michelin Commander II's .... I'm VERY PLEASE with the handling and performance of these tires. I have about (without taking the effort to consult my records) about 8K miles on them ... I did not measure the tread depth but they still have plenty of tread ... my best guess is the rear is close to 1/2 or 5/8's worn ..... currently inclined to replace them with the same ones when the time comes ... mostly for me, if it ain't broke don't fix it

I've had a few sets of tires on my dyna, the last couple being 880s and I learned they require high pressure (43-45 on my bike) or they will not last as long.

Still trying to scrub the writing off the edges of the new tires on the kitten.
This weekend is looking very promising (no rain or snow predicted).
