hey geno
was out on the old shovel today and experianced heat coming up through the seat. I have also noticed that the heat from the oil tank gets pretty hot but only today the heat came through the seat. Is there some sort of sheild that should be in place? I was thinking of placing some of that insulated bubble wrap under the seat as a heat sheild. any thoughts on this?

I never heard of the heat from the oil tank getting hot enough to go through a seat. Are you sure its not from the rear cylinder or pipe? You have a pix of that seat?

tighten the header flange bolts, this works wonders. You may need gaskets, but try tightening.
