Hodaka, Maico, CZ, Penton, Zundapp... too many to list. Even HD made a 125mx bike.

Looks like Maico and Husqvarna at least are still in business. Although Husqvarna is using 4 stroke engines now, Maico is now using a single cylinder liquid cooled 2 stroke!. Largest displacement is 685cc.

Yeah I love riding in the dirt. I just don't know how well my body would take the crashes these days, but I sure miss the smell of burned bean oil and the ring-ding-ding of a powerful 2 stroke mx bike.

My BIL bought a new fourstroke outboard for his pontoon. Talk about smooth, quiet, and non-smelly (though I love the smell of two stoke). I hate to say it, but they really do seem to be the way to go.
