Boy I sure do believe that. I always like to lay my hands on what I'm buying if I can.......but sometimes buying via the web is just too tempting.....I mean who want to pay more than they have to, especially for bigger ticket items. |

We have many metal roofing projects in town, those needle sharp sheet metal screws are everywhere!
I call them $50 screws, because that's what it costs, or more, to patch a car tire... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk

The brick and mortar stores need to help themselves by providing a value that justifies their existence. The market will decide who prospers and who goes away. I agree there are some things I like to put my hands on before I buy but they are few. I really can't ever remember having done that at a tire store. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I do shop the B&M's, but really tweaks me when they don't stock something and proceed to show me how to order what I want online...
I could have stayed at home and done that and not driven the 80 miles to find you don't have it (even tho your website says you have it) and then want to show me how to order online. Case in point the knob screws for the saddle bags, continued to go in person once a week to buy them, because they promised they would be (re) stocked up by next week.

I tried to purchase through my local shop. They weren't in his catalog available purchases, so I ordered on-line.
They were delivered to my driveway less than 24 hours. The local shop now has my wheels and tires for mounting.

I went to the indy and got the front tire installed, and for the first time (ever) I didn't carry the wheel in, but took the whole bike. Unless I'm on a road trip, I do my own, but he charged a whopping five bux extra for the front installed vs carry out. Any way, the front tire cost was the same as online (148) plus the local sales tax. Of course, mounting/balance/installation was additional.
I opted to buy their new Road Hazard. I'm unsure about it, few details offered and I have thirty days to bail for a refund. I'm actively seeking more info from Dunlop right now. There's two pages of agreement paperwork, fairly boilerplate but I haven't yet found anything about the towing bit.
