Is always with me, all the time.


So anyway way back when the bike was new, the dealer insisted on using Syn 3 in the primary at the 5 K service, I asked them to use Formula +, as per the manual, but they insisted that Harley says Syn 3 is OK.


By the time I was at 10 K service the primary was making a knocking noise, they were "concerned" about the noise and asked me if it was OK to go in and look for problems...so OK.

Then they filled it with Formula + and the noise has been gone.


So...today I'm installing the Screaming Chicken manual tensioner and I find that when they were in the primary chasing the noise, when they reinstalled the auto tensioner they stripped the bolts, as in the threads on the bolts are rolled over.

So now I have to run up to the dealer again to order new bolts.


I sure wish Murphy would give me a break.
