Camping trailer project started.
Its all over the garage. Getting ready to take a chop saw to it. Starting with a Harbor Freight 40x48 utility trailer, got it on sale for 140.00 with a 20 off coupon. Its actually a pretty stout little trailer and should work well. I am taking 4 inches off of the width so it will have a 36 x 48 bed. I am extending the draw bar by 20 inches, painting the frame flat black with Lava Red color matched fenders. Will be using 3/4 plywood for the decking then sprayed with bedliner. I am chopping down a Safari rack for the deck and using a 36x48 weatherproof roof bag in the trailer for all of my camping gear, cook gear, shotgun and all the other crap. Replacing the lights with LED units from custom dynamics and bolting 2 Kolpin fuel packs to the safari rack in front of the fenders. I will then build a cooler rack on the draw bar and hard mount a Coleman Marine cooler. Total investment will be about 400.00 and thats after my bearing buddies and cragar gold cart hub caps!

Ill post pic when its done, right now its just a mess.

Very initial stages of construcrion, the safari rack layed up, the trailer together with the drawbar pushed forward. Leaving it at stock 40 inch wide. When I bolt down the safari rack and trim out the decking it should fit almost perfect for the 36x48 bag, roofbag also makes one that is 38x48.
