Brawler seat on Crossbones...
first pic...i cleaned up the garage a little yesterday, so i can walk around the bike...
i didn't put the seat nut in yet...i think they're should be a rubber/nylon washer between the fender and spring clip... it's drizzlin' on & off, and i have to go get dog food, so i'm stoppin' at the dealer to see if they have one...

Thanks...I don't think it's going to be as "ass comfortable" as the stock one...but it feels good to be down in the bike...
beings Gordito is taller, he'll probly be ok with the stock seat...

It seems nice, but not so "old school" now. If I ever get one, I'll put on the upswept Sampson fishtails, and leave the stock seat. Then we'll be able to tell them apart.
It looks good, new, but good.

I'm also going to put some miles on mine before making a judgement on the seat. Definitely like the old school look, but found it diffucult riding so high on the bike. Maybe the 16" apes will help.

just got home...stopped at the dealer to get a washer like the one that's between the ECM mounting plate, and the fender, for the rear seat mount to sit on...
how long has the Crossbones been out...February...? There isn't even a listing on their parts computer for it, yet...!!! ended up getting a rubber washer at Lowe's...

I definitely like the side view of the brawler installed but I think I still prefer the look of the stocker. You have to do what improves your ride though. I happen to think that the Crossbones is one of the best looking bikes "out of the box".
The Nightster stock saddle looked better than the mustang solo I put on there in my opinion, but the stock saddle was NOTHING anyone could ride on though. It is all about the ride. I sat on a stock Crossbones saddle but you really can't tell anything by sitting on a bike in the showroom. Either way, you have one sweet ride there bro. |
