UH-OH...
Went to start the princess' phattboy this evening....
fouled out a plug...... pukeing gas out the bowl vent. So I says to her, "well, it ain't my bike" In hindsight, that was not good. Got to get parts on Saturday. Doncha just hate it when there is a MOCO Dealer 1/2 mile from you at work, and you will not go there. |

That sucks on both counts. At least you have the know-how to fix it yourself.

I was very skeptical about fuel injection on a bike. Having lived with it now for 5 years, I'd never go back (unless it was a Panhead).

Oh ya, I know.
Ginny said she needs to find someone to fix her bike. I guess I gotta crack open the carb. Wouldn't want anybody else improveing on the gas mileage it gets. |

Just tap on the bowl w/ a screwdriver a few hundred times. The float'll let lose.

The original Harley mechanic's toolbox was 8 different sizes of hammers.

Old School mechanics. . .reminds me of my Grandfather and Father. . .they had an auto repair shop when I was growing up. My Father gave me the keys to my first car when I was 16 and a hammer for the trunk.

Yeah, folks made due, or made their own tools, back in the day. We have a fancy tool for every other fastener type.
