Trickle chargrer
older trickle chargers were just strait power lines and I never had a problem. Now they come with inline fuses. Is that necessary for some models? (Roadglide vs Sportster)

It's trickle chargers vs battery tenders.
Trickle chargers don't monitor the battery where tenders do. The inline fuse is to protect the battery from over currents. Old vs new.

Battery tender!
Deltran battery tender Jr @ wal mart around $25 - $30, should have a pigtail set of clips and a pigtail set with eyelets to bolt onto battery terminals. !Make sure terminal bolts are tight! Or they will melt over time while riding. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk

Oh yeah, just remembered, on the (yours) RG there should be the pig tail two pin trickle charger harness under the left side cover, you have to remove the left saddle bag and then pull the cover off and the end of the trickle charger will plug right in. See your owners manual on trickle charger plug location.

thank ya, thank ya very much. I thought reading the manual was cheating. At first I didn't think it was there but on a 2nd look I found it. At least now I know how to get to the battery and I have 2 battery tender hook ups. I have a NAPA 2 amp and 2 or 3 HD 0.7 amps tenders.
