There have been enough warm days to make the ice questionable. Scariest thing I ever did was walk across Alcova on the ice. My Nort Dacodah-born husband kept pointing out the thickness of the ice, but even after four and a half decades in Wyoming, I firmly believe ice is something that goes in tea and not something one walks on or fishes through.

Told someone that I have to wait till the ice is rated thick enough to support a snow buggy before I go out on it. Nice to learn you can have more than one "ice hole" here.

That's better visibility than I had at times trying to get home in upper Michigan. At the time, we only lived 5 miles from work. There were many days that I wished we lived close enough to walk home.

With so much of the lakes not iced in, the lake effect will be more prevalent too.

Growing up about 20 miles from lake Erie I'm more familiar with 'Lake Effect' snow storms than I care to be.

I've seen photos of ice covered everything along the Great Lakes. Think I'll take our blowing snow and let y'all have the Lake Effect.
