Tenderloin Tour-May 23-26, 2014

Basically we're gonna hit three different pork tenderloin sandwich joints while journeying through NE IA and SW WI. See the sights, eat when necessary.

I just got off the phone with Theresa at the Eagle View in Guttenberg, IA.

I set aside a block of five rooms (four available, I got mine), all single bed (Queen size), second story with vistas of the Mississippi River and river valley.

Well, one room is on the first floor as there's only four rooms on floor two.

I'd suggest if you're interested in going to book your room now as she's usually fully booked on that weekend. Two marinas on the river + holiday weekend fills her inn.

She'll take additional reservations after the first five are gone. She's unbooked for that weekend as of a little while ago. But I wouldn't dally........

I have some tentative routes picked out. One option includes riding down to Anamosa to visit the National Motorcycle Museum. J & P Cycles is around the corner.

Majorly changed plans for Saturday, the 24th. If'n those of you who ain't been wanna sample a smidge of SW Wisconnie, who am I to deny you?

Instead of riding to Mason City for tenderloins, I decided to change the route to include a run up through Gays Mills (WI-131) and around Wildcat Mtn. (WI-33), bar food for lunch in either Ontario or Cashton, then indirectly west to Genoa on the banks of the big river, then south along either bank of the Mississippi.

Most of us Mugs have ridden these roads. Ain't a bad one in the lot!

I think y'all will enjoy the 224-mile 'Wisconsin Shimmy.......'
