I've Lost My Humor With This Really Fun Part
Going to take the 30T Triglide pulley off, reinstall the 32, replace the rear pulley with new, and yet another belt. I have seriously lost count. Un. Effing. Believable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've Lost My Humor With This Really Fun Part
This belt was belt #6, installed in MO.
It also should be Belt # Last. I'm not going back without (at a minimum) changing both pulleys and the belt. That would be near 800 just for parts. A chain is likely to happen. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I just hope Harley hired you for drive belt R&D before they released the new Milwaukee platform.

No swingarm removal with chain replacements, which "should" be fewer
It wouldn't likely be prudent to mention I have 120,000 on my ten year old original. I know I'm nowhere near as hard on mine I do know both pulley's will require replacing when mine goes, as the chrome coating is peeling. Or else I might switch to chain prepatory to more ponies upon rebuilding. BOB

I'd love to know what the problem is. Plenty of belt drives out there standing up to 140-150 ft.lbs.
Hell, Vader's at 120, and I'm still on the original 11-year-old belt. And I'm not even a little gentle on that.

I'd like know as well. Various persons of established cred have examined the components. No one sees a definable problem area. I am open to ideas.
The front pulley was swapped to the TriGlide thirty tooth. The breakages all followed but that doesn't mean anything. Lots of other changes occurred, including various engine mods. Without question, I romp on it too much, i enjoy a little street light jousting. I' m fully aware of the input influence, here, but I also know of others who run drag bikes that are quick (I mean actually *quick*, not just a-little-better-than-stock, which is my category) and not eating belts. Maybe the pulleys are flawed in some way, but it's certainly not obvious. There's no misalignment, laser proven. If I go back with another belt, I will have to replace both pulleys. This drives the cost of parts close to chain-level money. It would also leave me wondering how long before the next one. Modern chains are not the trouble that chains once were. They are pretty low maintenance these days and *clearly* lower maintenance than MY belts. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

To add grist to the mill: note that the FIRST belt on the Ultra died due to rock damage at 18K and well before the 30T mod. Belt #2 had been on the bike over a year at the time of the 30T install and it stripped due to a hard launch (really stupid) not a week later.
Note, also that I shredded two belts on my 88" Road King. That seems so impossible, now.
