MP3 CD's?
OK, I give up.
How do I take the songs from iTunes and burn them in mp3 format to CD so I can have 10 hours of music on a CD? I tried the "burn as mp3" option, and it tells me that none of the songs are mp3s, so they won't burn. Burning them as data doesn't work in the bike's player. I'm using a Mac if it makes a difference.

Tried burning a playlist as mp3s. If you just drag them, they're audio files and you can only get 15 or so per disc.

They are WMA format not mp3 on ITunes. Someone smarter than me can tell you how to convert them to MP3. That's the problem.

Just use your iPod.
Little Belkin FM transmitter in the tour-pak, or mount it and plug it in to the Aux port. Mine hates homemade CDs anyway.

I think WMA is the windows Media Player format.

Songs purchased from the iTunes Store are in AAC Protected format. You cannot convert them to other formats, including MP3. You can, however, back them up to a data CD or DVD, or you can burn them to an audio CD.

My burner program(can't remember the name right now) has an option to create a "jukebox" disc. This gives me an MP3 disc. One thing you have to be careful with is making sure the songs are in alphabetical order on the disc. If you try to burn them random on the disc the player on the bike will try to reorganize into alphabetical order and more than about 65-70 songs out of order will freak out the player. The most I've put on a disc and had it work correctly is 100(in alphabetical order).

Welcome to the proprietary world of Mac's. The music you DL from iTunes is copyright protected and licensed, so you typically can't convert it by standard means. There are some Windows pieces of software that enable you to convert the iTunes crap format to something that the rest of the world uses. Couldn't tell you if a Mac has the same software for that.

My Windows computer makes really neat mp3 format files when I rip a CD. Oddly enough, those play in EVERYTHING, including Mac products.
Maybe Clint will be along in a minute with an App for that.  Sorry, I'm enjoying this too much.
