Mike, thanks. I've hit another dilemma. I was planning to use the hardipanel for the underpinning but today a call to them revealed that it wouldnt really fit; I'd hafta use furring strips on the brick and that would make it too thick. Dang it, gotta come up with some other idea. What do y'all know about stucco? I mean the real thing.

At issue is the brick curtain wall and the lack of brick in the 30' or so where removed. I'd like to install a treatment here that would cover the void and also cover the brick to create a continuous appearance. The Hardi looked perfect but the mfr said they don't "approve" any method to face the brick with it other than 1-3/4" furring (head smack). I wanted to glue it but they said no way, no glue for it.
It's possible that I may use it anyway, but I don't want to have to re-do this EVER.
