Little update.

I'll have to swap the old shield back on to confirm the cause, but at 110mph I think the Madstad acts like a wing and lifts the front end pretty substantially. I don't spend much time at that speed, so it's not a huge deal, but still......

I don't think it's the windshield. Pretty sure the batwing aerodynamics cause lift. there was discussion a while back about how it was the root cause of those death wobbles. They changed the 2014 aerodynamics skightly, but I haven't had it up to 110 yet. I can say at 100 it's like glass.

Somewhere in South Dakota I ran 110 for a while...just because. The Ultra was so much more stable than the Road King that it seemed rock-solid in comparison. It WAS noticeably light.

Note that the RK's top speed is about 106. The Ultra's top is unproven but probably not *much* more than 110. It felt like it might've had another 3 or 4 mph left.

Is some front rise caused by power to the rear wheel? Kind of like a car rear end lifts at the driveline input? Thus the addition of traction bars on overpowered cars to stop the rear end torque wrap.
