Smile More new ink - FANTASTIC cover-up!!

Well, I've been busy over the last couple weeks spending my tax rebate. Got some old work re-done on Memorial Day (the mermaid, 3-eyed fish and Neptune):

Today I got an AWESOME cover-up on my right shoulder!

The first tattoo I ever got was a little chameleon, because I call myself the "Social Chameleon" due to my ability to blend into so many different social situations, from dressing in leather and riding a Harley, to wearing a business suit to my technical job, to wearing a formal dress to a formal occasion, etc.

The old work was almost 20 years old, and not only was it not very good, I had outgrown the subject matter, except for the "Social Chameleon" part.

Sooooo...now I have a bigger and better "Social Chameleon" and a buddy for him to tip one with. I LOVE this work!

Here are the "AFTER" pics:

I figure one more session to tighten up the chameleon, the Neptune, and bring some new color in here and there, and I'll finally be happy with the work on my back.

Yosamite Sam has failed to amuse us
The argument always is do you keep it covered with lotion or do you let dry out the first 3 days? Looks expensive? My bike chain on my arm was $160...
Care is very important on those tatoos...

LOL! Actually, I don't think I'm going to put anything there - I don't think I want BOTH sides of my back totally covered. I like a little bare skin in there to give it a bit more femininity. Plus I like the muscles in my back.

A&D ointment or Tattoo Goo/Tat Wax for 3-4 days, then lotion. I would NEVER let it just dry out for 3 days with a tattoo this size, but everybody seems to have a different way of taking care of new ink. Now that I have nice new pieces I like I'll be buying a lot of heavy-duty sunscreen!

About 3 hours in the chair. Marcus works fast and furious, which is good because you get done quicker, but bad because it hurts more. Really wasn't bad until he started going over the same spots with different colors on the chameleon. Some places actually felt good, which is sick, huh?

Thanks for all the comments!

Yep - he always uses saran wrap - we keep it on for the hour ride home then take it off, wash and put ointment on. Last weekend Travus got work done - we were both on our bikes, and when he pulled up to a light he had saran wrap hanging out of his armsleeve...
