Rear Wheel
Alignment.
Repaired transmission leak. Aligned rear wheel and obviously hosed it up. Bike lays off to the right when hands off. Belt started chirping at me from belt to rear pulley rub. Belt Is biased outboard on the pulley when viewed from the rear. My assumption is to adjust front of wheel to the left....yes? |

What bike are you talking about? Yep sounds like the wheel is not aligned right.

It's out of alignment because I loosened the rear wheel when working the transmission leak and hosed it up on realignment. I indexed the funky washers at the axle, but again I hosed some thing up
My question was more about which way to move the wheel. Just trying to get close until I replace the swing arm bushings Then realign everything. |

I believe your assumption is correct, if this is the new style swing arm, just make the washers start at the same spot and slowly work them back, I don't have a manual at work but if you swapped the spacers on the axle that could fug stuff up too

I check the rear wheel to the swing arm pivot. Made a measuring tool from a piece of gas welding rod bent at 90 degrees on the end. Once the rear wheel is aligned to the pivot you should really check the drivetrain alignment to the front wheel, I use the Glide Pro method. Amazing how well the bike will handle once everything is aligned correctly and once you've done this you should be able to just align the wheel to the pivot in the future.
