HELP, WTH Happened to Opening Attatchements......

This *&^%*&$$% F*cking laptop will no longer open attatchements on an e-mail etc.
I normally wouldn't give a rats ass, but my restricted firearms paperwork is in there and I need to complete it or no new1911.....
The laptop locked up about a month ago, and I had to fuss with it to get it to rebbot. It is just the microsoft secutity essentials on it, and the settings are at medium to medium low. I have gone thru the control panel stuff and I don't see anything weird on the settings. I downloaded the adobe reader also, still no go.....
Go easy on me, they didn't even have a computer class in my high school

See if you can save the e-mail attachment in a place other than the e-mail.

If so, do that then try opening it.

Move the attachment to a thumb drive and open on another computer.

Is it gmail or yahoo or some other server based email provider? Log in on a different computer and see if you can retrieve it

I know, 5 mile walk uphill both ways.....

All is good, somehow on the original reboot, an acrobat reader program got on board and was having a pissing match with the adobe air reader....
I got in quite the tizzy!!!! My paperwork had to be in before 30 days, and I'm on day 24 or something....
