More??? humidity puck ???'s
OK, So I read across something about the propylene glycol solution that after a bit all the H2O evaporates from the solution and after so many "refills" it becomes over saturated with propylene component of the solution.
Like back in the olden days at the dealership, batteries came shipped dry, and we had the sulfuric acid water electrolyte to fill the dry batteries with. Us being the smarties we were would use the electrolyte to top off customer batteries as they were serviced. Later we became informed that batteries need filling because the water goes out of electrolyte solution due to charging action evaporation and adding more electrolyte would over acid the battery and to only distilled water. Well the dealership being the cheap bastages they can be would not supply the shop with distiled water so tap water went in, but that is another story. But back on track.. I got to thinking maybe to just add a splash of distilled water to the puck every couple of other top offs to keep it more balanced. Oh yeah am using a Xikar 50 puck and the stock humidifier puck that came "free" with the humidor and one drymistat stick in the 25 -50 size box.

The gel usually only needs distilled water, and I think you only use the "juice" in the florist foam pucks a couple-three-four times a year, distilled water the rest of the time.
