A GPS that doesn't know about way points???? Say it ain't so.

You'd need a hand held GPS, as you'd have a really tough time riding your scoot over the spot where a cache was buried....

yup, it's so ......... I have this one
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134&pID=11017

and I don't see any way to put in a way point .....

it can be hand held, but that won't help without way points ...... it's nice for the car, and pocket for the bike

it's NOT weather proof, so don't take it out in the rain !

it's a nice unit for traveling, but it's not what I'd call a 'real' gps system like I'd have on the boat, where having way points is a requirement !

I briefly looked at the link you provided. It seems that you can input "custom points of interest" or custom POIs into your GPS. A POI is simply a way point, and a way point is simply a coordinate data.

Any GPS uses coordinate data downloaded from the satellites then converts the data into a latitude and longitude coordinate that is useful to you.

Yep.. Thrasher is right. You have to import POI's based on lat/lon. It can be tricky without guidance.

Sure no prob. I will post one of those up as well....

But note, when I put the cache up, there will be a link on the cache page that says: "google maps" or something like that. A window will pop up with a pinpoint on the caches lat/lon and you can route right to it via the directions functionality.
