I static balance as well and have never had an issue. I think I have a Marc Parnell kit and use a pair of jack stands to support it.

Somewhere in here is a discussion of me refusing to be raped for a pair of tires, so I bought the harbor freight setup. I heard they stopped selling it, but the same thing is still out there. It almost paid for itself in the first use.

Dynabeads don't work.

I have a static balancer similar to the Marc Parnes setup. But I mounted this one without balancing to see if there's any difference. Doesn't take but a couple of minutes to get the wheel off, so I figured, "what the heck".

The high temperature yesterday was 12 with wind gusts up to 40mph. Today we're getting 10" of snow.

I'll have to get back to you.

Sounds to me as if you've got perfect conditions for pulling those tires and doing the static balancing.
It certainly would make more sense than waiting until the limited supply of nice conditions arrive...to then take it apart.
Oh wait.
