Swingarm Bushing Replacement

Any tips, tricks or pitfalls? I'm using stock part for replacement.

My brother just did his.
Cost him $35 to have the stealer press out the old,
and press in the new. He did not have the tools
to press them in.

An extra set of hands help it go back in much easier.


Follow the steps in the book and all will be good.

I think you need the press if you are replacing the needle bearings too, I'm not planning on changing them if they're good. I have access to a press if I need to change them.

He has a press too...just not the bearing installers.
There is one for each side.

The bearing installers seat the bearings to the proper depth.

When I do mine, I'm going with Sta-Bo brand bushings. Their claim to fame is lack of need for a tru-Trac or other stabilizers. Not a fan of loosing ground clearance on a bike that I've already replaced the kickstand spring a half dozen times in four years. Lol

Already have stock part for replacement and throttle up stabilizer. I lean it over pretty good and already have the low hanging parts ground off.
