Man, glad you man it out ok. I know that intersection. Jumping off was the best move to save you legs from injury. Your angel was sitting on your shoulder when it all went down. Prayers from here for a speedy recovery.
Get that bell and that cover.

What a heartbreaker,,, sorry to hear about your accident and mangled scooter but glad to hear that you are alright.

How did your leathers and the helmet perform? Any rips, scuffs, dings, cracks or scrapes on them?

Glad to hear that you're OK!

It sounds like you've got a handle on it, but just in case, make sure you get the bike replaced right away. I have a friend that gave his wife too much time to think after an accident and wound up never getting another.

Just tell her that if you ride long enough, it's going to eventually happen and now you've got it out of the way

It's a good thing you were paying attention! That's the reason you came out of it the way you did.

quick thinking saved you from some serious injuries.
the jump thing works
people laugh but it is better to get away from the impact and do a little skidding
glad you are just sore and not busted up bro.

Oh, holy crap Jeffie! I'm so sorry that you went down, but SOOOO thankful that you're all right. Smart to get checked out by the docs - I'm sure you'll be sore for awhile. When I got hit it felt like someone took every muscle and pulled it from both ends....

Take it easy, and I hope your insurance company (or the idiot in the car's insurance company) does right by you. Sorry to see your beauty got crunched and probably can't be fixed.

Your angel was on your shoulder... Sending thoughts and prayers your way!

Take care of yourself!

OH MAN Jeffy!!! That sucks! I have ridden Greenburg Rd by Wash Square multiple times when dropping by Paradise HD. The congestion in that area is getting worse every year. Don't have much to add to what has already been said here.... just to really pay attention to what your body is telling you. Some symptoms take a while to surface. No matter what the outcome of your bike (fixed or totalled), be sure to keep that angel bell.

Keeping you in thoughts and prayers!

Good riding gear though, don't leave home without it, you just don't know what some bonehead in a cage is going to do.
