Pulpit; that's funny. Don's a Pastor. While I may be deluding myself that I'm prepared for anything WRT what eventually comes to be, I see myself more in a teaching role. But then, my experience is that God has a sense of humor--see the platypus for example.

On the other hand, there are benefits. You'll have the privilege of applying three years of your life to the advanced study of an ancient document and the languages and cultures which produced it so that anyone who's ever happened to own a copy of it can insist that you don't know squat if you happen to offer a perspective different from the one they've held all their lives because momma and daddy and great grandma and grandpa told them that was right. It's FUN! I promise!

That said -- if I had to decide again tomorrow whether or not to do it all over, I'd be at the front of the line. Cheers to you!

Oh. Not sure yet about MV...
You've been to the regular Wed night study at <insert lofty-sounding name here>, I see. I've actually had "pillars" make fun of me for looking up Greek during discussions on the meaning of specific out of context passages. One of the things I know I need to personally address is my reaction to this kind of thing. My willful-ignorance tolerance factor has been honed to a thin edge during years in a military environment. But then, King James was good enough for Paul.

Coming from a non-denominational Christian Church, where it's as likely to see a paraphrased translation as an NIV as a King James, I had to look that up.

How many units is the semester class on how to perform a briss?

Is it extra credits for reversing them?

I guess you don't want to discuss the asserted J, E, P, and D sources for the Pentateuch then?

No. I was just looking at the Hebrew for He and she, though. While similar, they do seem to be distinguishable from each other to the discerning eye...

What fun things are there for the better halves to do during the day in MV if they don't wanna ride on the back of a motersickle?

Stuff within walkin' distance would be nice.

Not sure if alternate wheels will be available.
