Ricky doesn't know the phone number of your mechanic, does he?

Waiting on the OK for a vacation day on Friday. If approved, I'm in. I'll call yinz on the phone tomorrow when I find out.
Oh yeah, new work cell, don't let the 312 # throw you off.

She did not blow up. The tech found 2 more horse, 3 more lbs. ft. torque. Got a slightly better, more longer lasting torque curve. Flat from 2.2 K to 4.5-ish K rpm. Decel pop is, for all intents and purposes, gone. Popping while shifting is gone, too. Money can fix a lot of things. Supporting local business is good, I reckon. Anywho, stuff's laid out, needing packed. Will roll outta here tomorrow afternoon, depending on release from work.

Beer not.
Oh, numbers. 80 hp, 92 lbs. ft. torque. Should really bump the compression a point or point an a half, get goofier cams, too. Um, no. We're done.

Just ask what 1/2 point up on compression does to your starter.

Nothin'.
As long as you have comp releases. And money. And a good machinist. With tools.

Ride report!
We got in a 160-ish mile tour of SW Wisconnie yesterday.
It was decided not to script the route this time, so we basically roamed the alphabet roads. Sort of a 'right turn at this one, left turn at that one' thing. After we became sufficiently 'lost', maps were consulted and the ride continued. As usual, the alphabet roads of Wisconnie did not disappoint. We saw beautiful country and rode a lot of roads we hadn't ridden before. Tasty road goodness was found at every turn! We stopped for lunch in Viroqua at the Ipsum Lorem Vintage Motorcycle Rally and checked out cool scooters, hobnobbed with a few owner/riders, talked to the founder of the event, and bought some swag. We then peeled south for a bit and ran some new roads in that direction. d j led us down WI-179, which is freshly rebuilt. Man, what a fun road! Traffic was nil, so three baggers played Sport Bike! Grins from ear to ear after riding that road! We then wandered back to Viroqua to ride HQ for a bit of refreshening and headed to supper at the local American Legion lodge. A bottle of Bud flew in the missing rider formation, the Gone But Not Forgotten were toasted and remembered, and beer and burgers were consumed. Beer, cigars, and conversation at ride HQ capped off the day. It was a memorable ride and day, to be sure!
