I wonder if the mufflers changed at all for 2014.

You know, with the Rushmore changes.
Word from folks who have ridden behind me is that it sounds pretty good.

Some have tried, few have succeeded. Might be easier now that he doesn't have the 150 hp beemer.

I'm very curious to see how the BSR runs against the Gumby Glide.

Reflection

But, this motor is completely different than the first 95 with the true duals. Way more compression, way more cam(s). It ain't offensive, tho. But it is louder than stock. Maybe it's them baffles. Maybe the cans need repacking. I got some of that fancy sound killer stuff that Russ recommended thirty or so years ago. Box is sitting where I left it, on a shelf in the closet. Like for two years or so....... But it ain't so loud that you can't hear the faint whirring of the gear drive cams. But I'm old fat goin' deaf and lazy. I think I'll just leave 'em alone.

Cams. Check Cylinders/pistons. Check heads. Check TB/Injectors. Check Tranny seals. Check Shifter Shaft Check Working on the left side right now. Stator, Comp, clutch etc. Have to finish this side up before I can check the cam gear alignment before I can button up the cover. Still to come. Rockers and rocker covers New fuel filter new fuel pick up Clutch lock up (Thanks Ricky) Exhaust Yes, it's going slow, but I'm being VERY meticulous. At least I'm finally making progress.

Is that like, are we there yet?? No. Remember the comment about meticulous? Well, if you forget the springs for the Scorpion Clutch Lock up, the crank won't turn when you rotate the tire. Can't get to TDC for adjusting the pushrods. So.... back off with the primary cover and put the springs in. Glad I hadn't dumped in the primary fluid yet.
