Let me be the Goldilocks between the too little info like "yep" and the too much info like some "FM modulator whachamacallit". You will need to get you a male-to-male cord that fits the headphone jack on the ipod and the same plug on the bike's radio. Simple as that. Got mine at Radio Shack for a couple of bucks. A little velcro for the iPod and you are all set.

ok, thanks for the input...now, ipod nano or sony walkman???

i've read the sound quality is better on the walkman. i don't care about videos and other crap, just mp3's when i can't pick up a good fm station in the boonies.

i can't afford the xm monthly dues or i'd go that route.

Ipod or windows based MP3 player....that is the question. I find that the headphone jack on the iPod does not render as good a sound as the proprietary link on the bottom of the iPod. I like the iPod because it and its accessories are ubiquitous and has a nice catalog of songs available.
