Guess I've got Nebraska, Iowa if needed, South Dakota too if necessary.

If someone's considering the personal challenge of a 48 state ride that link in the other thread points to a husband/wife team that did it in 10 days 8,600 miles.

We have an efficiency version and a scenic version...

Lay it out on Google and post it...

cool...

Edit the efficiency map if needed and post it...

Then give your best shot at the most scenic in your area... bearing in mind the overall idea of hitting all 48...

AND POST IT...

pretty much from the mighty mac bridge, down along the west coast, is the most scenic.

From the Circle tour...

got SoIN done....it's probably one of our favorite rides when going from east to west...

from south of Indy to the KY state line we like this one (Mega will agree), plenty of gear rowing, good scenery, and good places to eat

This really needs to all start off of one base map, to ever work out. say if I do texas, thats great, but if in my mind the best route across texas starts in one place and ends in another and the person who does NM doesnt end near where I start and the same with OK or AR or Louisiana starts and ends somewhere else then you could have thousands of miles out of the way just to get to where the next person starts... am I making sense of what I mean?

I think the concept is great... maybe it just needs to be done by each person google mapping the best "rides in his or nearby states" and then someone else combines them for efficiency from one state to the next to make the most sense.

at any rate, I'm on board with the concept, just troubled by the execution of not being coordinated

and while I have no doubt I could map out a damn good ride in TX I really think someone from down south nearer that damn good riding could probably do it better, since I'm several hundred miles from TX's best rides.

My suggestion is to delegate this to phreak.

After all, he is already geting paid big money to map the Southern Hill Country. We might as well take advantage of an existing situation.
