If by look like "Terminatorish" you mean look like ass... Then I would have to agree.

Comfort wise, they could be ALL that...

Yeah, that's probably a good term for the look. But, like the Ape Woman at the fair, I'd like to see it in person. Not enough to buy some myself though. $750.

Me too. Swapped bikes with a buddy of mine tonight. He has a FXST with 18" apes on it. I really liked it, way more than I thought I would. It took a few minutes to get used to it, but it wasn't bad. My arms were definitely above my shoulders a little, but I did figure 8s in the parking lot no problem.

Then I saw this:

16's would look right at home on my bike. I'm so full of bad ideas.

If I can add my 2 cents worth... I've got an fxdb street bob with factory "baby apes" which put my arms in a near horizontal position. I get hand numbness quite regularly while riding. I'm only 5' 8" so that might have something to do with it. I don't have to reach particularly far for the bars, and with the highway pegs, I can ride in several positions (higher, lower, laid back, or more upright aggressive) so, if you've never had apes, I would suggest taking out a friends ride that has apes, and see if it doesnt happen to you before plunking down big cash and reconfiguring your whole front wiring setup for something that looks good....just sayin'...

Your bars on That wide glide look closer to you than mine are to me. Do you have pull back risers on it or is that stock position from "the factory"?
