Bummer for Bobber release

Alright, I have been semi-patient for six months, yeah six months. They sent the defective front brake master cylinder back to Jokers. The original statement was as soon as they got the bad one they would send a good one out.

They are rebuilding the defective one, so now I have to wait to Thursday or Friday to get the bike completed and road tested.

Looks like another week of waiting.

For the price of welding on the hardtail he could have purchased a brand new frame. There's a downside to not having the VIN on the frame but still.

Looks sweet. Hopefully you don't run into anymore snags. Good luck.

The shop ate part of the cost for rewelding, but not as much as I thought they should. They also donated a few hours to make up for it.

If Marc had sent the frame to the hardtail builders, he would have saved a ton, and beat a new frame price. As it was, he paid twice as much as a new frame would have cost! The blame on that goes to one of the mechanics at the shop. The shop tried to make it up to him.

Another award for the Bobber!

I rode the bobber, minus the front brake, to a Bike-Car Show at the American Legion and entered it into a competition. I did not win best of show, but came in second place behind a 93' Springer and in front of a custom bike with a Rev Tech engine and real nice paint.

I expect the front brake master cylinder to arrive from California on Monday, hopefully.... The guy at Jokers forgot to send it overnight he said.

Okay!! I finally had a full day of riding the bobber. The fender held together and you really have to watch out for the bumps, pot holes and bridge connections. One of the brilliant mechanics quit the place that put it together the other day. He was a real liar and do nothing. Any way it's nice and I am glad it's a nice ride that is different from the Road King...
