A 5 angle cut on the valves on a head mean.???

In my opinion, it means you are paying for 2 angles you
don't need. On a street motor, anything over 3 angles is overkill, and you won't be able to tell the difference.

If you are going to get them ported, it doesn't matter which heads you start with, except the really early heads are said to have better material. for a build with a 26 cam, a set of 06-07s are a good choice. To the porter, there isn't much difference.

Were there any changes in the heads of a TC in any of the years from 2004 to 2009?
Seems like there would be when the 96ci came out.

The '09 front head for the touring bikes has some differences from earlier years in the way the top engine mount is attached to the head. Other than that, the only changes have been:
In 2005, the valves went from a 5/16" stem to a smaller 7mm stem. The guides in the '05 and up heads are different than earlier models, the valve spring keeper is different, and the valve stem seal changed from earlier years. In 2006, the port shape was changed to allow better flow.
