We have the new Metz triple 8's on the rear of our bikes. You get a little more mileage than the 880. They are lower profile and a tad narrower too. I love em! Yes use more air on them, around 50psi

I'm up for a new rear. Been with 880s for the last two. Probably gonna go with another, unless the 888 is better (ride, wear, comes in my size) or possibly the commander II ? That one only comes in 160 for my bastard rear rim (17x3.5)

Any one know of a local NoVA shop that will do the work if I bring in the bike.
I think I need a new rear tire and I can get a new Metzeler on line for $150.

Check Motorcycle Superstore's preferred installers. If you buy it from them they will ship it directly to the installer. If you buy it elsewhere you can still take it in.

Battley is a MS certified installer. $70 for the swap, ship the tire directly to them.

Finally got the tires on the bike, and took it for a decent ride yesterday. Running 44 in the front and 48 in the rear......... they're great! None of the squirrelly feeling I had before, and they feel like glue in the corners! So far, I'm very happy with them.

I like mine. No issues. They just seem to be happier with a little more air than "normal".

The end result......

As well as these tires handled, they are shot after 9600 miles. The rear has less than 1/32" of tread left - no tread in some spots, and the front tire has developed some "bumps" - possibly beginning to cup, even though I watched pressures religiously. Looks like I'll be getting new skins again this weekend...... may go to the American Elite II.

T/T the factory about a month ago, guy told me 38-40 front and 42-44 rear were optimum. The new me888 Geno mentioned is much like the Elite in the it claims higher mileage from dualcompounds.

Sent from my new space age communicator.
