Well, warranty covered some of it...
Well, I was having an issue with my battery and engine light coming on and I thought after Stoney told me to check the connections on the regulator that it was fixed... and it seemed to be. Then the next few times i took the bike out it started doing it again and I checked the connections and it was fine. Well to make a long story short, I got a bit irritated when it came on again and I gave the regulator a kick and the lights went off.
So I took it to the dealer. According to them the regulator went bad and it ruined the battery. Now I'm not sure if this was something that was brought on from the incident when they messed up the stator when they replaced my belt, but it was screwed and like you would expect the extended warranty covered the regulator, but not the battery even though the regulator was responsible for damaging it. Pisser. Got a call and guess it's good to go now... With a new rear tire, new regulator and new battery. Hopefully no more issues. Going to pick it up tomorrow and it's going to be 60 degrees... looks like it may be a good day.
